The Society publishes a newsletter two to three times a year, depending on contributions and articles. Contributions for the newsletter should be sent to: David Roe at davidroeqsa@gmail.com. Newsletter archive: Over the years people have asked for back issues of the BMS newsletter. We have decided to make back-issues freely available to all in the interests of making the information accessible to the widest possible audience. Until the advent of the home PC, newsletters were produced by typewriter and then photocopied, meaning that the quality of reproduction was somewhat variable and this is reflected in some of the scans. We have produced fully searchable pdf files from original hard copies, and concentrated on making the text readable. This has unfortunately resulted in the photos generally being of poor contrast. Going forwards this problem will not arise, as we shall convert original MS Word files to pdf format, with full resolution photos included. The most recent six issues of the BMS newsletter will be held back and are available to subscribing members only. As each new newsletter is published, another digital back-issue will be up-loaded, and so on. Thanks are due to Carol Starkey for undertaking the time-consuming task of scanning the back-issues. The task of creating an index of articles, authors, minerals and photographs in BMS Newsletters is underway and can be found here. 2021 – 2024 2016 – 2020 2011 – 2015 2006 – 2010 2001 – 2005 1996 – 2000 1991 – 1995 1986 – 1990 1981 – … Continue reading Newsletters
